Interview with Batavia by Sil

Tell us about you and your work as an artist? What might we expect to see at Queen and Jackson?

I’m a funky bag designer! I make every piece from repurposed materials. For Queen and Jackson, as one of our local events, I’m working on some designs based on cityscapes and Hamilton industrial buildings.

What is your process of creating one of a kind work?

I pick up all materials from the “landfill”, where manufacturers dump their discontinued designers fabric! They’re in excellent condition & very durable.

Tell us about your inspiration for your art making?

 Nature: trees, birds, flowers, animals….

Do you have any advice for other makers trying to get there work out in the world?

 Never stop creating!

Tell us where we can find you online and in real life.
